Double page spread analysis
The double page magazine consist of an equal amount of text and image, showing that it is providing information on the band and keeping the audience interested with the images. However, it looks as though the main visual hierarchy is the large image on the left hand side which, is taking up one side of the double page spread. The image is relevant to the title ‘The Teenagers’ as the image shows a group of young men lying on a bed portraying teenagers. This shows that it will attract the target audience as they will automatically be able to relate to the magazine visually.
The main colours used on the magazine are blue, black and white. The colours are stereotypically male colours that you would expect to see showing the audience the gender that the magazine is aiming towards. Additionally, the bands are all males again showing that this magazine is aimed at males. The font used here connotes boldness and strong giving a masculine look to the magazine.
There are several pictures which are splitting up the text which suggests that the audience will not be bored quickly by the magazine by all the text. There are relevant articles which are appropriate for the magazine.
The genre that is being represented looks to be some sort of alternative indie/light rock. This is again represented by the colours used and the style of the images used on the magazine.
